Actually it's just really a review so far... I guess the professor picked up on it because he started having me finish his sentences for him.

The joys of a computer. Program a little script in VBA, automate a search and webquery, and dump it into a text file. Bam! An automated 'life of bob' story all in under 2 minutes. Although I had to delete all the smilies... but yay for the "Find and replace" function.

VBA, C, C++, MATLAB (modified C++) etc. are real handy at times 👍

Yeah I don't really like Facebook either. It's good because I never take pictures unless they're on my phone... so it's a way for me to get photos that my friends took whenever we go out and do something, but that's about it. I pretty much only go on there to check this private thread that about 8-9 of my friends started in May because we all live in different cities/states.

The nosy gossiping stalker people are the least of my issues. I can't believe how it has become such a legal issue, as well as infiltrating nearly every aspect of people's professional and personal life.

My friend in Ft Lauderdale works at a law office and one of her main jobs is to search people's facebook pages to find incriminating information! Recently, because of my friend's murder that I told you guys about... someone connected with the case, either a police officer or a defense attorney, created a false Facebook and added all of the victim's friends and anyone who might be connected to him or the case. A lot of people who added the person had to delete them or post on their page warning not to add them. That is just sick IMO... but I guess it boils down to the fact that people need to realize the internet is public.

There is another thread in the infamous Lounge about how medical schools have been searching student's facebooks and 3 students were even expelled. Even some schools consider it highly unacceptable to be pictured with an alcoholic beverage regardless of age.

When I cheered for NSU we were not allowed to be pictured with alcohol. I am 22 and my friend in dental school is 25, but it doesn't matter because of the stigma some people associated with college students/athletes drinking. (Cheerleading is listed as a NCAA sport at NSU so we followed the same drug testing, physical exam/training guidelines).

Luckily I rarely party, and I had already taken down nearly every picture that might be questionable due to pharmacy school. I wouldn't want to appear unprofessional to anyone just to leave a few dumb pictures on my page.

I hate hot weather.

I actually did add a school in south Florida to my PharmCAS though. Both schools down here are private (23-28k/year), but it's close to home, fully accredited, beautiful campus, nice people, new facilities, so it's worth a shot.

So anyway... I was offered a job as a Publix pharmacy tech the other day! The only problem is... Florida passed a law in effect Jan. 1st, 2010 that everyone with a pulse inside of a pharmacy must register with the Department of Health. I can't work until they approve everything, and they said it might take up to a month because they have to do background checks, etc. I am kind of sad because I was really looking forward to starting, but hopefully it doesn't actually take 30 days. The store is within walking distance of my house too.

My school doesn't care about alcohol they just don't want any patient information or illegal activities on ours. I keep mine on super stealth mode anyways since I could see the school searching students on it.

This is how I felt when I was working few years ago during the summer AND studying for the PCAT (since it was going to be the first time I was taking it), and I ended up not having time to watch the Olympics. I only found out about it when I went back to school in August and people talked about it.

See I always feel inadequate to you people with all your volunteering and school club pictures. I don't ever use my camera when I am out and about doing stuff, so all my pictures are usually added from my friends during stuff like Halloween, Christmas parties, going to the beach, etc. I feel like if a school ever looked at my page they would think that is all I ever do.

I think the only picture I'm physically holding alcohol is from my 21st birthday when I bought a bottle of Moet Rose'. I do have photos with my friends where they're holding very conspicuous blue beverages, but I am not drinking anything. I should probably double check though because I'm sure some got through my filtering.

What about just untagging only yourself and still keeping the pictures?

That is all I have been using and I think it takes great quality shots! Photography is always something I have always wanted take on as a hobby. I can definitely appreciate some good photos and I have been reading a lot of shooting styles, technique etc. Now I am just doing my research on a camera before I spent 500 bucks. I have 9 months to kill before pharmacy school so I think I will have a good amount of time to take on this hobby. 😀

I have a funny story about that.

There was one year at my school when a graduation speaker talked about a basketball game where an american team was playing against a russian team. The russian team was discussing strategies in russian, but when one american guy got fouled, he said "hey big guy, watch out" or something like that in russian, so the russian team thought their opponents understood them, so they stopped discussing their plans out loud and lost the game

I know one girl who used to go to undergrad with me who was really good at repeating things people said even in other languages. They way she copied them made it sound like she was fluent in so many languages. She was so adorable, so it was cute too 🙂 One of the things she said was in russian. I don't remember what it was, but she sure did sound like she spoke fluently

Since I'm mixed and I look/sound American enough, most Russians think I'm not Russian and say all kinds of things in front of me, about me or not about me but just plain embarassing. I have so many stories to tell. 😳
