Yeah, the actor they had playing the pharmacist looked like he was pulled out of a tv show or something. He was very well dressed. We dress casual here at our pharmacy lol. A customer confused him as a real pharmacist and asked him a question.

That is awesome! I wonder what kind of ad. that'll be put on? Granted, I don't watch hardly any TV really, so I guess I wouldn't know if there are commercials for glucose test strips, etc... but if there aren't, where else would you air that?

Any way, they should've had you in there! Be like, "I'd like to make a shout out to all my homies on the Ess Dee Ennnnnnn" or something. 😛

Lol that would have been awesome.

Okay guys help me out... would you recommend I continue on what I'm doing now which is complete my pre-reqs for 2 yrs then apply to like 6 schools OR end of this yr/ next year apply as a transfer into MCPHS's 0-6? (They explained I'd be applying for entrance as a yr2- basically set me back one yr but that's no biggie since I already AM a yr ahead of my graduating class).... BUT it's also confirmed you'll be accepted into their pharm program (as long as you complete pre-reqs w/C or higher)....Which would you do?

I'd finish the pre-reqs so you have a variety of schools to apply to. I don't think you want to put all your eggs in one basket. Since you are ahead anyways, why not just finish the pre-reqs? I think you will be happier with that decision.

Why do you want to go there instead of a 4-year pharmacy school? The student body will be a bit more diverse there.

Honestly I can be swayed either way. The thing is, I've lived in Boston before so I know the area pretty well and plus my mom can easily relocate to her company's Boston location (so it works out with housing)... I guess I just want to be SURE I'm in a program. I'd much rather do a 3 yr then a 4 yr, but if I'm guaranteed admission I would much rather go that route. Plus MCPHS doesn't require PCAT (I'm not sure how hard is it & idc either way if I have to take it or not)..

What docss26 said is true though, do I really want to put all my eggs in one basket? Of course not. Plus I wouldn't know what to do if I somehow didn't pass a class or whatever & got kicked out the program (just saying...)

Your mom would move with you? Wow.

You have all your life to work full time. You will regret joining the work force at such a young age. I value my youth so I have been taking my sweet time. Im 22 and entering pharmacy school. I absolutely love being a student. Take your time and go to the school you really want to go to. One year is nothing and is worth your happiness.

Well it's cheaper than dorming to live @ home w/ a parent plus I can gain residency (although MCPHS is private so I guess that doesn't matter).

Can you say helicopter parenting at its best 😛

Nicole, sometimes I miss being a college student and doing whatever I wanted with friends while hanging out on campus meeting random people. I also miss staying up late at night just to gossip or play on the Xbox while complaining about RAs and classmates.

Now that I'm in pharmacy school, I spend most of my time studying and talking to other pharmacy students and some pharmacists. If I were still in college, I would have a lot more time to socialize and experience college the way I want to.

You have to realize that this could be the most difficult 4-year commitment of your life. It definitely is for me. Once you're in, you stay until you're done. Then, you're pretty much on your own with even more responsibilities. I know it sounds great working as a pharmacists with a doctorate and making a lot of money, but you have to realize that you're going to be serving your community and helping patients every single day for the rest of your life. When people see you outside of work, they'll see you as a pharmacist first, and then maybe a friend second. At my interview, this was one of the things I had to talk about, because if you're a professional, people will see you as a professional first if they do not know you. They will have standards and ideas about what a pharmacist should do, and you might have to live up to that. If you don't, you can lose credibility.

Yeah, now that I am done with undergrad I really think I am going to miss it. I love being a student and to be honest I am quite nervous about pharmacy school. I feel like I will have no life once it starts, but im prepared. My biggest fear is that everyone is smarter than me and I end up struggling. =(

Yeah .... you seem in a rush to graduate and start working, but really, it's no fun. ALL of my friends who have graduated wish they were still in college and say the worklife sucks compared to college. College was amazing, and I wouldn't trade those years for anything - not a million dollars. I even delayed graduating for a year (due to a major change), and I do not regret that at all. Yes, I got a couple extra thousand dollars in debt because of it, but you'll be in debt most of your life (college ... car ... house ... one thing after another) and the experience you get is priceless, as corny as that sounds, I know. You say you're "a year ahead" but ... those years really don't matter much. It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 19 or whatever. At my school, we got a lot of international students - I met some Singaporean students who were 21 when they started as freshmen in college because of mandatory military! But they're not "behind" or "ahead" of anyone - you just go at your own pace.

Personally, I'd just do the prereqs and see what options are available to me. The security of the almost-guarantee of pharm school is relieving but I like having my options open.

Good luck in whatever you decideeee!

Does anyone remember that time I was talking about that girl from St. John's? Well, I was looking through random stuff on youtube, and I found a video where she's doing a presentation with another pharmacy student. Her voice is actually different than how I thought it would be

Link! I wanna see how pretty she actually is.

She was the girl after the asian girl. Sounds like nicole doesn't like the way she looks very much. I blame the lighting in the room since it was dark.

Yeah I didn't think the Caucasian girl was cute at all. Sorry, just different taste.

Oh, here is a picture of the people filming their company video at our store.

Rar, we all know where you work now! Quick, someone zoom in on the address! 😉

Regarding the video, I found all but perhaps the last female to be attractive, and the last mostly just because of that weird lisp-thing she had.

You're saying the "last female" as in the same girl who talked after the asian girl in the video? Or someone else?

I think I know which one you're talking about. Was it the one who talked by herself after the two girls were done with their part?

yea - She had a really offputting lisp or accent or something, like she couldn't speak right. That would drive me nuts!

What's wrong with her voice CrazyB? I like her voice... it's not all high pitched and annoying. LOL I think she's cute but she looks better in the picture you first commented on... It looks like she dyed her hair really dark.

Seriously, I am OVERWHELMED WITH EXCITEMENT, can't say much but I signed up for something sooooooooooooooooooooo cool !

Girls, did you play the FB color game today ? I loved all the clueless dude posts

I think I ruined it... mine went as follows-

"so I guess I have to tell facebook the color bra I am wearing to support breast cancer... well I am boring and I wear white."

But to be fair, all the guys on my page had it figured out already so they knew.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with her voice. I think passion4sci said that the third girl to show up on the video had an annoying voice.

But yeah she did look prettier in that picture I saw on the website. If the lighting was better in the video, we could have all seen her a little better.

Yeah I noticed that. Some girls would say the "nude" color, but the guys had no idea why the girls put "nude" as their status. Some guys even "liked" the status that said "nude"

Ok, seriously wth? I logged onto facebook only to see a list of female statuses indicating their bra color. I thought you all were joking.

 Cheb is good about telling us right away or at least quickly if she's kidding.

I know one girl even had "hot pink" as her status.

Are you guys watching Hotgirls ? I'm like in love with LisaNova, she's so awesome:
