Well I can do my own laundry, I think I'd have to find someone who could tolerate my sense of humor for more than five minutes 😛....and of course the cooking.

Yes, I would say being able to tolerate someone is a big plus.

My boyfriend can't do laundry (or, he refuses to)... lucky for him he has to go back home to STL every other week for hockey (no rinks here) so his mom does it. I told her I was going to teach him and she was like more power to ya!

I really think she depends on me to help him out, even though he is quite capable of doing (most) things on his own haha. She asks me if he eats enough, I tell her I cook/bake for him... she called him to ask if I had ordered grad announcements yet and I'm in the background yelling don't worry, I'll make him go w/ me... his car needs to be fixed in STL so she told him that he should just stay w/ me during the week so I can take him to class when I go... he was like mom, I have roommates that can take me...

No worries, power's on again. You don't realize how much you're dependent on technology until you're sitting in the dark trying to read a book with the only stupid candle in the house annoyingly flickering back forth. I've never seen the whole thing either. I think Molly was just in some popular teen flicks back then, that's all. I've never thought of her as particularly attractive for some reason. As for 80's chicks, that leader of the lizard aliens in the V miniseries could've had my cat for dinner anyday.

Ok, so far be it from me to get this forum all political and stuff, but I just caught like the tail end of one of the presidential candidate's speech on tv (doesn't matter which one, because they're all doing it). So they go on to describe a story for like 2 minutes outlining a problem and you think some kind of amazing revelation is coming, but at the end of the story they just stop and are like, "if I'm elected I'll do what I can to find a solution to this problem."

WTF? I mean come on, is that not the biggest cop out? And they're all doing this. If knowing what the problems are and then once being elected starting to look for solutions is the qualifications for being president, maybe I should run 😉

Thanks!! I just found out that someone who was taking OChem II with me last spring (she was retaking it) got in off the wait list, which had to have happened late May at the earliest. I'm still holding out hope...I refuse to give up!

I'm looking to buy me a cute little house. There are a couple of neighborhoods < mile from Scott & White with houses that were built in the 40s that can be had for ~$60k. I figure for that, I can't rent an apartment, you can't lose money on a ~60k house (you can't make money, either...), and I'll have it all to myself. I'm one of those people who likes to take on more projects, particularly when I'm already really busy! I love to paint, tile, and otherwise do home improvement types of things.

Work is picking up. This will be my first full week in the office - or it would be if I were coming on Friday. I'm working in a conference room with a brand new intern who doesn't say anything! He's a Longhorn, I do know that.

So, between working with someone who is being silent, doing stuff I hate doing, and finding out this morning that a former classmate got into UTHSCSA this year (she was on the wait list as of late May), my day is not going too well.

My life is entirely too complicated, and everything I do just makes it worse. 🙁

Anybody know where the best place to get all your pre-matriculations shots is? Doctor's office? Metro Health clinic?

Yeah the thing can kind of be a pain. I remember the first year I filled it out wasn't a problem. But when I went back my sophmore year in college I had gotten a pretty good raise and had significantly more income than the previous year, and the thing didn't want to let me finish it because it thought it was a discrepancy.

Are they rolling? It's possible they filled up most of their spots and are backing off acceptances until interviews were finished. Then again they probably knew you were coming so they wanted to make sure they had some spots to offer you 😀

Rochester has a LOT of waitlist movement. My host there interviewed in Feb and got off the waitlist. Apparently, half the class gets in off the waitlist.

They "can't say what they specifically do" since a lot of their testing is still in development or something. I'm thinking it's a cover for a government spy agency So incase you guys never hear from me again it's probably because I'm a secret agent 😎

Anyone know what to do for swollen lymph nodes??

I had a nasty cold the past two days and then today I woke up and have really swollen glands in my neck and inguinal (yep, I just broke out that word) area.

I know its probably from the cold... but man, these ones in my neck make me feel like I'm choking! All I've heard to do is take pain relievers (which I'm not a fan of personally) or use warm compresses... anything else??
