Hi everyone, I understand that most schools have a 3.0 as the lowest overall GPA they are looking for to be accepted...I am looking for schools that have their minimum GPA below the 3.0 mark, I know that VCU offers a 2.7 minimum but I'm wondering about some others. I have a wonderful amount of observation hours, personal letters, and good connections w/OT's and coworkers. I'm just worried about not getting in with a 2.9 overall GPA.

I know about all the ones from OTCAS.

Can anybody help me out on some schools?

Much appreciated

Retake any bs classes you got C's on... they don't have to be pre-reqs. I would apply to non-otcas schools cuz they don't kill GPAs. Towson has a 2.75 minimum. AIC has a 2.85.

aaaaand if you apply to schools that look at the whole body of work instead of only GPA you can get in with a 2.9, you just have to sell yourself well.... i have seen people get into schools with less than a 3.0. They had lots of observation hours and great letters.

I don't know what you're most recent grades are like but Towson allows you to apply if you have a 3.0 for the last 60 credits. They also say you can apply for conditional admission with a 2.75 (don't really know what that means though).

Is that your cumulative GPA?Some schools only look at your last 60 hours!!! That might help 🙂

University of North Dakota is a 2.75 min for their pre-professional program students. Not sure if it's any different for people coming in with a 4-year bachelors already, though.
