Hey everyone! I'm guessing more acceptances will be going out soon. Has anyone else here been accepted? I just submitted my deposit and can't wait to meet fellow cohort members!

Awesome! Congrats! I am patiently waiting to hear something. I was a skype interview and interviewed during the 2nd round of interviewers. I feel like my writing sample lacked a little. I'm not good with on the spot writing in that way. I was only able to write maybe 2 paragraphs. So I am hoping my interview answers and personality really shined through. I am that person that starts papers 2 weeks before they are due.

I was in the second round of interviews as well. I thought it went okay but I am trying really hard to not get my hopes up just in case. There was a lot of people from all over the country. They said that they are going to start reviewing on March 19th, but a lot of the first years told me it should take about a week. Most of the first years I talked also said they were waitlisted at first; so I guess that means there is still a chance even if you aren't initially accepted. I am guessing you went to the first round of interviews? How long did it take for them to get back to you?

Hey! It sounds like there is usually a decent amount of movement on the waitlist. When I attended the interview (2/10) they said decisions would go out about a week after the second round of interviews. I got my decision on 2/16 though, and noticed from last years forums that they admitted about 5 people right after the first interview too. I know at least one of the 5 people that were already accepted is not going, so there is already some movement there.

It seems like not much has happened yet, and there must still be 30+ seats in the class! Wishing you the best of luck!

Hi! I was accepted too and decided to attend. So, I guess I'll be in the same cohort as you. 🙂

Hey! I went to the last interview and I thought Pacific did an amazing job at making us feel comfortable and answering questions! I didn’t leave there with a signal question unanswered! Except for if I got in! 😉 you had the interview through Skype right?

So did you have both a Skype interview and an in-person interview?

I did have the interview through skype like two days before the 2nd interview. I live in Ohio, so I was thankful they were accommodating. My interview was with one professor, and then a student contacted me afterwards.
 
Also, I emailed Jon-Erik. He stated he was getting the committee together once he is back in the office next week. He also stated that he would be sending out information on acceptance and etc late next week and early the following week.

Yes, I did my interview on 2/10 and received a call from Jon on 2/16. He did say they only offered 5 students acceptance at that time. So, I felt lucky since I wasn't even expecting to hear back until this month after the second round of interviews was finished.

Greetings all, I received my acceptance letter yesterday and will be attending. I am looking forward to meeting my cohort! Good luck to everyone and I hope to see some of you in the fall!

Don't lose hope! Many of the current students were waitlisted. Either way - be sure to ask the school what you can do to make your application stronger next year!
 
I also received my acceptance email last Wednesday! I can't wait to meet you guys! 😀 Good luck to everyone, and for those that were waitlisted or didn't get an acceptance, do not lose hope!! Many of the students I talked with got accepted their second time or received an acceptance from the waitlist!
 
Any updates for waitlist people? I am in Tier 1. Does anyone know when the accepted student need to decide by? I feel like that will help us gage when we can expect to hear after.

April 4th was the deadline in my e-mail. Hopefully that helps!

It's important to note: the doctorate encompasses more than academia and research. It sets you up to be a more advanced generalist and clinical reasoner. A big skill is evidence-based practice, which allows you to apply current evidence and challenge "old" practices that aren't actually beneficial. These skills are taught at a master's level, but more implemented at a doctorate level. The doctorate allows you to design your own capstone project, which is not offered at a master's level. A capstone gives you 100% of the reigns to lead a project of your design and interests. The skills you will learn there are very valuable.

While research and academia are important to some, I'd argue that very few of us are highly interested in making research and/or academia a big part of our future careers.

Do you know when we will need to take ur tb test, drug test, and etc. I have only heard from financial aid.

Before the start of classes I’m assuming? I’ve got an appointment scheduled because I need most of the shots and some require some significant spacing between rounds.

I just need to know how to give information if I already have insurance, all my immunization records, first aid certification already and take a recent TB test.

Yes! It’s a lot. So I am working at my doctors office and they said they would send over my heath care summary from any applicable appointments and have the doctor sign off on whatever was needed when the new school year forms were published. I would for now just have a hipaa release signed with your current records so you can request them to be sent whenever! Once we get the notice on where to send it will be quick and easy.

Awesome, I saved a copy and can send it through email so this works. I am so excited and anxious to hear from the school again!
