Hi everyone,

I am a big planner so I am already trying to look into activities to do for next summer. I really want something in a clinical setting, but I also don't want to go a whole summer without any pay and most clinical activities are unpaid. Does anyone know of any paid positions that one might be able to get for a summer as an undergrad that would still provide me with experience that would be beneficial for med school applications?

I also have the option of working over the summer in a research lab that I am currently a volunteer intern for and getting paid for that. Perhaps I could also volunteer at a hospital on the side? Just trying to weigh my options here and figure out what would be most enjoyable and beneficial.

Thanks!

Edit: I would also like to add that I do NOT have any official certifications such as CNA, EMT, or MA.

If you're looking for paid clinical positions as an undergrad with no certifications, maybe you could look for scribing positions. Many of them are paid.
There are also some clinical research summer programs that also provide other types of clinical experience as well as a small stipend such as the one on this link: https://medschool.vanderbilt.edu/vssa/undergraduate-clinical-research-internship-program

Awesome, thanks so much! I'm surprised that program hadn't popped up on my previous searches; I am so glad you posted the link. Thanks again.
