Looks almost perfect except for the last statement, the ones mentioned in tertiary proteins are non-covalent as well, so what do you mean by non-covalent interactions in Quarternary proteins.?okk I hope this is wat u r looking for..
-- Primary proteins are maintained by a Peptide bond
--- secondary proteins are maintained by the Hydrogen Bonding
----Tertiary proteins are maintained by the Disulphide Bond, hydrogen bond , Hydrophobic Interactions and the Ionic bond too
---- Quaternary proteins are maintained by same as tertiary but they have noncovalent interactions.
hey ya u r right .. thanks for correcting m
The protein may consists of 2 or more polypeptide chains which may b structurally similar or dissimilar.n now the arrangement of these polypeptide units is called the quaternary structure of protein .n these subunits will hv all those noncovalent interactions.
wht r the predominant bonds in tertiary structure of protein ?????
a. disulfide
b. hydrogen
wht r the predominant bonds in b-pleated sheets ?????
a. disulfide
b. hydrogen
wht r the predominant bonds in a- helix ?????

🙂what is the coenzyme that is used in reduction?a. biotin

1) What is the net charge on glutamic acid at a ph of 1 ?
a) +2
b) +1
c) 0
d) -1
e) -2
glutamic acid is weak acid, when it is kept in strong acid <ph1> it absorbs H+......
as a result of this , net charge on it is +1
what is the coenzyme that is used in reduction?a. biotin
b. nadph
c. nadh
d. fad
depends where the reaction occurs.
different in mitochondria & different in cytoplasm
now immunoglobulins..
In saliva SigA
in Gingival crevicular fluid , Ig G
In CSF , IgG
plzz correct m
The first bone formed after injury is Woven bone
The bone formed after orthodontic destruction is also Woven bone
no thats wrong
the disulphide bondspresent in tertiary structure are covalent bonds
Primary cementum, secondary dentin, and cancellous bone have all of the following characteristics in commone EXCEPT:
1. showing growth
2. containing cells
3. resorbing under pressure
4. being derived from mesenchym
Answer: 2 (Booklet 1-E)
Don't all of these contain cells? I thought it was 3, since cementum is less likely to resorb than bone.
Thoughts?
I would go with growth. Ans: Aits too late , m little tired,
will answer 2mrw
