Dear forum frens
I will be retaking part 2 in April .my graduation is in may so kind of scared as in my school the rule is without part 2 there will be no graduation ...I am basically freaking out rt now although I am not wasting any time on anything besides studying...I am doing busters& mosby's & decks also q bank side by side....everytime the feeling of retaking haunts me...I don't know wat I shud do ...even though I m trying to forget past and trying to focuss on retaking...I can't control my emotions n tend to cry a lot:-(...I never failed like this b4....but it hurts so bad....I don't know if I will graduate...I m so helpless...

Hey, I couldn't understand you more, really. After having failed it twice and thinking for sure i failed it on the third time, i can empathize.
what you need to consider is the "eye on the prize" sort of attitude. think about how great it will be when you finally get your license and start seeing pts. and start earning money. get inspired by that and try hard to avoid fears, this is as much mind as anything else and believe me, i was scared s%#less, but i tried so hard to believe in myself and to instill confidence in myself. also, ppl are passing w/o problems, consider that you'll be one of those fortunate ones to get there. believe in yourself and think how much it can hurt you to have a defeatest attitude. It's totally normal to feel this helpless and hopeless, but you gotta pull yourself out of it and FOCUS on what needs to be done. good luck! 👍

THANK U so much ODONTOLOGIA for those reassuring words....i feel more confident n bit relaxed now.....let me ask u sth...i am doing decks , board busters line , mosby's all line by line....do u think i still need to do first aid....i am also doing qbank...i am scoring like 85% correct in ortho pedo...
wat else did u study?also how different u studied for ur retakes?thank u sooo much for ur support....😳😳

can u guys tell me if it matters the no. of times u appear for part 2 exam. does this reflect in your transcript. Suppose if u do not clear the first time n u retake, does that failure the first time will be mentioned in the score card..

i don't recommend first aid at all. i just found that it lacked the depth and detail that is needed to score well on this exam. sounds like you have all of what's needed to do well. i only added tufts when i failed it the second time and i found it very helpful on my third exam. on my third try i was just more focused and more determined and studied a bit harder! 👍

To the OP: I can sympathize with you, I took the exam back in December, failed with a 74. When I left I didn't think it was that bad. Turns out I didn't do too hot on the case based questions. All I did to study was use First-Aid (sucks), Kaplan Q bank (pretty good), Tufts (awesome for pharm), and 2 old exams.

Now I am freaking out too. It sucks so bad but we gotta get through it, and we will. Just study everyday and stay focused. This will pass. I'm using Mosbys, doing old ASDA exams, and studying like crazy from the decks. I hope I pass this time..I pray to God.🙂

buster is the best book I ever had ...it's exactly same as decks but better than decks for me because it is very well organized , it helps a lot during revisions as u know this is one book than 1000s of flashcards in decks...do buster line by line...my 30% questions for part 2 were exactly from it...Good luck!!!!!
