Part I - What would you have done differently?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I wouldn't have changed a thing.

One friend took Part 1 yesterday, obviously by computer.

Question: Anyone know how they're scoring it? How are they comparing it to the rest of the nation? She swears it's the same test as we're getting....I say there's no way in hell it's the same thing.

It's most surely NOT the same test. The questions for that are drawn from the general computer bank, in the exact same manner that they are for the DAT. It's still graded on performance of prior test-takers.

What did she think about it? How difficult was it? Fill us in!

I was wondering guys, how long does it take to get your NBDE 1 scores if you take the computerized version. Is it like the DAT where you get your scores at the center?

Oh, wouldn't it be a beautiful thing to get your results back in 10 freakin' days. I've heard it's more like 6 loooooong weeks for us paper people.

My friend who took it is pretty damn smart, and she said if you can do well on the 96/98 tests, you'll do fine. Pretty similar content. She wasn't too stressed about how she did. Lucky girl.

Another Q: how do they average the scores? Just from previous test-takers? Hmm. So do we think that taking it on the 12th will give you a better chance to score well compared to all the other people?

P.S. I was so bad today.....I didn't study for most of the day........I needed a break!! Now I'm regretting it.

I'll refer to you a previous thread posted by Yah-E. He spoke with the ADA and they answered those questions for him. He relays the info far better than I ever could. Post #8 is probably the most beneficial: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=73171

Ditto on what river said.
I would have spent a lil more time in pathology and dental anatomy. Learn to take those 2 portions very fast so u can have time in the end to double/triple check. Most of my classmates didnt even finish in time and had to guess.
