Passage types

So I've noticed there seems to be three types of science passages:

1. compare, contrast diff sci experiment.
2. a repeat of content review (seems like you can answer the ?s without reading the passage)
3. somewhat familiar topic but really in depth.

Has anyone else notice this? If so, the real MCAT is more like which type?

I don't really think its possible to classify passages like this. Passages you encounter will likely have many common characteristics, but thats only because there are only a limited number of ways to write a science passage. In all likelihood, the passages and questions are going to be a mix of all 3 of those trends + more.

You should note that the real mcat doesn't separate the passages based on topic. I think you are using TBR and in TBR the passages you take are mostly about the section you just covered. TBR does incorporate some info from other sections, but I think the real MCAT tests are quite different.

I can pretty much guarantee the mcat is going to have passages with experiments , with questions that can be answered based of content knowledge, about topics that require some great depth of understanding.
