No..it stalls sometimes on that new page thing.

My wake-me up post...did you ever realize that the majority of the threads in EM forum rarely end with the same topic the thread was formed to be about? Maybe I randomly pick the wrong ones...or maybe everyone here has as much ADD as I have.

My latest funny conversation....glaucoma, cataracts, galactosemia, I have taco meat"

At least 3 of the 4 were somewhat linked.

I am dealing with cocaine toxicity and gsw's. wheeee sunday night

i'm wishing i had cocaine toxicity right now.

Chicago is wet and slushy this morning, causing me to fall down a flight of stairs this morning. My back and elbow hurt, but otherwise I'm okay. Scary experience as it happens though.

Hence my love for all things EM 😀

Ouch, that is scary. Being a bit of an inattentive klutz, I've fallen down the stairs several times as an adult - once in heels!

BTW...17 days! ST, as always, this countdown's for you!

Your gf is going to be jealous of the love you have for me.

*squirts Drill w/watergun*

Nah, she won't, I'm sure she understands that everyone loves ST. Heck, I might even give the Todd permission to flirt with you 😛.

"The Todd" is a special place here in Tampa.

Sweet...I was double booked for electives and managed to get out of optho for ICM preceptorship, which is even less responsibility. If I can only get out of ending my year with my required medicine sub-i, life would be golden.

16 days, 16 hours, 16 minutes, 16 secs...

I wonder if I can get to 4K by match day, with the results of the match being my 4K post. Lets see how that works out.

Freaky...wait till tomorrow when it's 15, 15, 15, 15 to the 15th. Whatever program you think of will be where you end up.

That's assuming your school starts to distribute the envelopes at noon...

16.76 posts/day including today if there are 17 days until the Match 😀

Ahhh yes, I forget this is the internet and that people are in different time zones...like the time I mentioned a 24 spoiler for the PST folks.

If you are counting down now, you'll hang yourself before YOUR match day comes 😀

Regardless, I still enjoy spoiling shows for people. Like the fact that (SURPRISE!!!) Meredith Grey survived her 20 minutes submersion and like 2 hour resus. time without any brain matter lost.

BTW...the Jack Bauer power hour is on in just about 1 hour and 6 minutes.

Srsly...no neurologic sequelae? WTF is up with that?

Math, for someone who rarely uses it these days, is very time consuming at this juncture in my life. Shoot...chewing gum requires way too much energy these days. I love the laziness of 4th year. 😀

Don't forget being pretty much asystolic for almost 2 hours, all while getting half-assed chest compressions (with many breaks as they pondered what to do next)

Hehehe...I just posted my 2 cents in the socialized medicine thread. I think you should all read it as it's very profound and contributes much to the conversation. 😀

yo Dr. Will... I'm sorry to hear about your spill😉 are you going to make it into work tomorrow... I just joined the rads club today and missed ya 😀

 Yeah dude...I'll be there tomorrow. Did the other student on rads have to present today? Some attending had the nerve to assign us topics on friday. I have yet to look it up.

It smells like BBQ sauce in my apartment, but there isn't any in here.

For someone who took a drill to the arm/shoulder, Morris sure is moving his UE very well and without pain. Maybe that, or I'm just a sissy.

Couldn't agree more. I was doing some physio problems and was too lazy to break out old paper and pencil long division, so I grabbed my trusty TI-89 (Titanium edition!) leftover from my p-chem days. I def. had classmates asking what the heck I was using.

Ah, sweet laziness.

Dude as a RFU guy you have a lot of catching up to do with Will and myself.

the inservice review we had was depressing.. so much i dont know.. its amazing i havent really badly f-ed up this yr YET!

the inservice is blllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeech. Do you really need to know the endotoxin exhibited by the rare african orchid bee sting? 😉

hey do you know what a "reasonable" score would be on the test this yr. I am a pgy-1.. Also please tell me the inservice is easier than peer 7!?

I'm not sure about that, but I've heard a rumor that a scorpion sting is a common cause of pancreatitis. 👍

Hell how about the which would you do first.. Or the peer 7 question of which of these options lowers K in hyperK the fastest.

Calcium
Insulin
HCO3
Albuterol
Kayexalate

I could narrow it down to 3 of them, then down to 2 and I guessed wrong. but my choice was the 2nd fastest. does it really matter since we hit em with all this stuff?

Yes, I see this at least once a week! 😎
