There are better ACC teams no doubt, a lot of teams have just been losing games they shouldn't have.

However, as far as UVa's accomplishments this season, just being competitive in the ACC and making it to the NCAA tournament are huge steps.
 
So I missed class for the second day this week. Oh well...I feel much better now that I've gotten some sleep.

I did enjoy it when half of those gunners/tools ended up in business school :laugh:

Although sometimes I wonder if they were smarter for it...🙄

FYI Todd - I know that was an edit, but nice try 😉. And believe it or not, SoCute was a gunner pre-med at one point, too!
 
I still feel like crap. I've lost two days of gym time right when I was really starting to get back into it.

BTW...a little creepy to see an add for "Residency Scramble 2007: Prepare your scramble applications" on SDN.

WHY CAN'T THE HEELS WIN A GAME WHEN I NEED THEM TO?

Also, why is it that if UNC loses to GT in ATL, it's because GT is a good team, but if Clemson loses to GT in ATL, it's because Clemson isn't any good? I mean, we beat them at Clemson.
 
Jesus, I think I just did bad on a chem test. :scared: Our grades came back and it does not look good. I thought 100% for sure that I had got 96% of the questions right. Perhaps I'm not as smart as I make out to be. WTF? Our professor releases the answers so I'm going to check. I just don't believe it.

I hated pre-meds when i was a pre-med as well. Hence I went into an atypical pre-med field. most were wannabe neurosurg or some other stupid field. Pre-meds are annoying cause they are so consumed with getting into med school they shut their brains off the everything else.

UNC is just killing me this year. So much talent and so much potential, but they so often just come out flat and seem to lack alot of mental toughness. I feel dumb complaining when they have lost a grand total of 5 games, but it is frustrating when they play so poorly and lose games they have no business losing. I also can't figure out how a team with that much talent can't find a consistent outside shooter or play decent defense on a consistent basis. I guess you can blame youth and lack of real senior leadership, but only so much....

If the Heels can win against dook tomorrow and at least win 2 games in the ACC tourney, they should get a #1 or #2 seed. That would most likely ensure 2 first round games in Winston Salem, which would be a huge advantage given that they would basically be home games (there are more UNC fans in Winston than even the home team Wake Forest). Even if they win those games and make the Sweet 16, I would be surprised if they made it any farther than the Elite 8 given their inconsistent defense. That's frustrating because the window on the team is closing given that at least 1 and maybe 2 of our best freshman are probably going to the NBA and we don't have anyone else coming to help next year.

As long as we beat dook, all we be OK in the end. This is my last chance to go to a game as a UNC student, so we better win!!!!! 🙂

Somehow not feeling the hangover yet. Probably will come later though. Had a blast last night for what I remember.
 
Unfortunately, I have a lot of studying that needs to get done this weekend...which I will start later.
 
Oh ya...about the pre-med thing...my undergrad years were filled full of drinking and going out. My last year there I was going out 4 nights a week at least. I guess I was an atypical then, but so were the rest of my classmates that were pre-med because we were all out together.

Hell, right now there are some medical students that I don't like, especially one in particular in the GRI forum.

But there are quite a few in my school that get on my nerves as well. It is a frightening medical student that doesn't lose some of their idealogy. I guess they will find out after they don't match at one of their 3 ranked programs.

The president of the "Pre-Med Society" at my wife's college found her on facebook recently. She's an RN now. :laugh:
 
Oh, and I propose a new SDN law. Since there are no [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags, I will go on record and state that I will always italicize any sarcastic comments that are not part of a quote. Maybe then people will get it or something.
