Met a cool med student today. He told me you don't have to be smart, just too stupid to not give up. He got in after 4 application cycles. His friend got in after 7. Not sure I believe the 7 part, but I suppose anything is possible.

As an interviewee, I would have shot back to him "that's your job" if I didn't know the answer. He is basically asking for it anyway, pimping her like that. I wouldn't bother anyway, and I certainly wouldn't do whatever ranking medical schools is.
