Haha...I'm sitting here tonight thinking about my next two interviews (Highland and UCLA/Harbor) and how about 6 months ago the chair of one of our associated ED's (without a residency program), told me I shouldn't bother applying to either of these places because I wouldn't be looked at. To all the haters out there that said we couldn't do it...I say 😛 😛 😛 😛 Keep dreaming everyone. If you want it, you'll make it happen.

Agreed avoiding the scramble is nice but honestly while there is always that 0.01% chance I think you know if you will or wont match. The people doing EM from my school last yr that didnt match both thought that they wouldnt match..

Agreed the person you are talking about is a little out of touch with how things are out there. Im not even a west coast guy, Im not from there and I didnt rotate there and I got a bunch of cali interviews. Dont believe the bs when people tell you you cant. you dont know until you try.

Bigger arms.
Your cruiser is only (basically) a 1/4 ton truck. It shouldn't be that hard to steer.
Unless you've got some meats on the hubs. Then you might need help.

A/C is for weaklings. I went a summer in south carolina without it. It just makes you have the top off more. Even when it is raining.

I can steer it, but when it's not moving it gets pretty difficult. When I switch back to a newer car I find myself steering with my palm.
