I called it a night as the sun was coming up.....my friends (and I quote): "Whatsa matter? Canna hold your liquor?"

I stopped counting at 17 beers and God only knows how many shots......

And for anyone who actually looks at it, use internet explorer (or a firefox IE tab emulator), because the image text tags are just as funny.

Hey, don't leave us Mac geeks out. Safari shows the tags, too.

BTW, that comic is great. I just finished going through a bunch of them.

Take care,
Jeff

I broke down and ordered a pizza. No ice cream. I don't want to become huge.

Haha. You should have done ice cream, no pizza.

I went out and got my slice of pizza 🙂 that way I don't eat too much.

If a pt repeatedly asks you if they are going to die while you are trying to listen to their heart/lungs, would you ask them to be quiet so you can listen? Just heard it happened in a simulator and didn't know if it happened in real life.

Yes, it happens in real life. Normally if you tell them "Yes, now will you be quiet?" works beautifully to allow you to auscultate.

Big Trouble in Little China is on! Sweet!

Yeah...my pizza was seriously undercooked. I much rather have had home made ice cream from the chocolate store on my block. Mmmmm...so many good flavors to choose from.

And will definitely cause you to fail your OSCE!!!

I find the best interpersonal skills scores come when you answer the question "Well hell buddy, we're all gonna die."

Finally! My friggin cable was fixed and I can see all my channels again.

Letting the cable go out in a 4th year med student's apartment should be a federal offense, I think.

Well it hasn't been so bad since I've been interviewing and all of my favorite shows have been on hiatus. But now that they're coming back, I made sure I let comcast know how unhappy I was with the service.

Comcast blows.. rcn in chicago is the way to go.. if you can get it.

It's cool. I bitched enough that they credited a month and a half and finally really fixed the problem, which the two previous techs couldn't figure out. Plus, I'll be gone in 5 months anyways.

It's always good to know who to avoid!!

AT&T's DSL was also terrible!!!

I did hear that their cable was good though.

The one service I actually loved, because it also had a decent price, was DirectTv. It's just hard to get when you live in an apartment building that doesn't allow anything to be hung up outside.

Nah, as long as you wash your hands and tell them they're going to die in clear and understandable English, you'll be golden.

CSE. What a collosal waste of money.

Take care,
Jeff

Legally they aren't allowed to not let you choose a satellite provider. However, you have to fight them about it, and unless you're going to live there for a very long time (and I know you, like a lot of us, are moving in around 5 months), it isn't worth it.

Really? I would have to imagine they could easily not allow you to stick a dish on their building esp if it involves drilling thru their exterior walls..

That is often how they are worded, but you can install them easily without drilling into walls. The hitch comes that you must have an exclusive area, such as a balcony, etc, and it has to face south. So, if you're on the northern side of a building, you might be out of luck.
However, if there is an antenna in the common area (such as the roof) that the landlord uses for multiple tenants, by law they have to allow individual ones as well.

god Jane fonda is such a *****.. hilarious...

that lady is a pathetic excuse for a human.. anyways im glad she has her place to speak i just wish the news would not cover it since no ONE cares.. she hasnt mattered for 30 years..

i cant believe there is such a fuss about 2008 elections already.. we are almost 2 yrs out..

So, there I was, sitting on my back porch last night with my new MacBook Pro. I turned the brightness up as high as it would go.

Wow. I needed sunglasses. Damn, that screen is bright.

Oh yeah, it has a really, really cool lighted keyboard as well.

Not to mention its incredibly stable, attractive and multithreaded multitasking OS.

Nothing like a little Mac evangelism on a Saturday afternoon. 🙂

Take care,
Jeff

Although my Dell is just 1 yr old, I'm thinking of getting a nice macbook pro once I start residency next year. Although honestly, I think a large/nice hdtv will probably be what I end up getting instead (unless I end up in Cinci where I could probably afford to get both.)

What the hell, dude. It's just money. Get both!

I love being helpful. 😀

I'm getting a 42 inch (minimum) 1080p true HDTV first. Then a MacBook Pro, since I have a G4 iBook now and I have the benefits of the solid Mac OS X now. Now that my gf is making Cinci a better option now, she's found 4 pharm schools in the area she can go to, Cinci has become more of a possibility, which means getting both sooner. We'll see, i've go to stare at my ROL for about another 1000 hours before I decide between Cinci and 3 other places.

I'm just excited to have money to waste again even if I'll be making less as a resident than when I worked for Cingular Wireless!

All of you pledging your love to Cinci is making me nervous. I've already scheduled a second look so I can grovel at Andra's feet and beg her to give me a spot. I'm even prepared to offer up my first born, my future pets, to do her laundry, anything. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ahh, a little Mac love.
I would need sunglasses too, to hide the tears I would be crying for spending that much on something I can't upgrade the components on.

My disappointment for the day: I thought I was going to be roommateless for the weekend...then she just showed up. 🙁 I was thinking I was going to be able to study in my apt all weekend and get some quality studying done.
