IMO the destroyed the bears or I should say the bears self imploded. I mean I was rooting for the bears but it is a bad bad sign when every snap I am hoping the bears dont turn it over. The Colts dominated them because the O couldnt do anythign vs the colts D.

We can get ready for next season and of course the draft before that. Ill say My fins take Alan Branch from michigan with their pick, 10-6 next yr and an early playoff exit.

Yeah...don't be complaining about no sun. I'll gladly give up clear blue skies (which means frigid temps) for cloudy skies and snow!

oh news that makes me want to vomit.. starting lawyers at big firms are making 145K in chicago.. more in NYC and SF..

And the *****ic pre-meds want OUR salaries to go down so we can save the whole world.. argh!

damn why did my wife leave her job.. she would be close to 200K by now.. sigh... we are doing ok though and of course we have a life..

Doesnt it bother anyone that they are making more and more and we are getting squeezed by everyone including ourselves (or at least the pre meds)....
 
I think it will be a problem when I actually get there, but I grew up in a family of 10 with my parents making ~60k. I'm used to a low income.

If it becomes too much of a problem, I'll just become a drug rep or something similar. I can always moonlight as an EM doc. :meanie:
 
We will see. As it currently stands I dont have a prob. I knew I could make more in business or in law. at my wifes old firm which was a nicer place to work than most the non-equity partners brought in 420K on avg, one guy made about 2 mil... I know at the bigger meaner tougher firms partners avg over 1 mil.
 
Cell phone died.. G-damn.. but T Mobile has the best cust service I have ever experienced.. No phone for 2-3 days hurts though...

I definitely agree there. I was even worse off, but we still survived.
 
What makes me sick about the lawyers making more and more money is the fact that it makes them stronger (have more pull), which is not good for our profession. They already have too much say in it all.

I think I'm going to buy myself a nice North Face Denali jacket just cuz I want to treat myself to something nice. 😀 Plus, it would be very useful right now considering how a$$ cold and snowy it is in Chicago.

I'm going to move the hell away from anyplace that has the words "lake effect" associated with their weather, cuz I want to treat myself to something nice.

Also, check Steep and Cheap for good deals on things like that. It is like woot.

Sweet...thanks. And yes...lake effect is really killing me right now. I think this is the coldest winter I've experienced in Chicago, and I've been here 5 years. I called a classmate that is currently in Southern California to let her know I hate her right now.

I don't like them. I want a denali jacket right now! Come on denali jacket! I can quickly see how this can become severely addicting.
 
So I found a great deal for a denali $125...and then decided to run out to sports authority to size myself. I come back 20 min later and the one I wanted is sold out. damn.
 
I wish it was July 21st so I could sit and read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I love this series. I don't care if any of you think it's childish! 😀
