So, I've been to the grocery store twice so far this semester. Which isn't really significant, except that I think I went three times total last semester. Other than that, it was mostly mom and dad pity supplies and take-out (which I justify by buying cheap takeout and making it last ~3 meals). Well, there's some other motivation. Mom will be passing through in a couple days and she and dad sorta own part of it 🙂.

Ahhh yeah that'll do it every time. Hope you had more fun cleaning then I had at the store. It was pretty nuts.

Nah.. I did all the "serious" ones already. though I do have my medicine Sub-I left for late april.. 👎 I tried to move it up but they wont let me..

Actually after this 2 week Ophtho rotation I wont see a patient until my sub-I.. 🙂 So basically 2 whole months!! YEAH! :meanie:
 
So this beer pong thing.. Thought I would share.. I show up at my buddies house.. we do an improvised power hour.. with pizza.. then a game of drinking jenga..then we roll out to this dive to play beer pong.. got home at about midnight.. drank tooooo much...anyone else have fun last night?

getting exciting in here.. Well I actually love seeing patients.. the thing is that I would rather enjoy this period of time in my life than do some bs rotation. I learned a lot during rads but to be honest I need a little time off and thats what I am getting right now.. Time to focus on what I need to work on a little bit before residency starts.. Things like buying a house, selling a house, tying up loose strings, and dealing with family stuff on my side and my wifes side.. Enjoy 4th yr it is great! 😀

I actually haven't found fourth year to be that great. I think it is because my clinical rotations schedule is all messed up since I am MSTP. Right now I am on hemepath, which is 7:30-4 or 5, so those certainly aren't terrible hours, but are very busy hours when I am there. (Granted, some of this is just my attitude, since I am trying to learn as much as I can for residency preparation - I could slack if I wanted). My last ten weeks of school is going to be a peds sub-I and my core ob-gyn rotation. 😡
 
yeah i did all the hard stuff early. sub-i left.. not bad..good luck beary..
 
I got my rough-stuff done early, too. I'm doing an elective peds Sub-I right now, but for the last 2 months I've had it light & I'll be finishing my last 2 months with hematopath and radiology. I'm just floating along.

Technically, OSU only has a FM residency. The others are all hospital, not school, affiliated. 😉

But if the In-N-Out residency participated in the Osteo match it'd be #1 on my ROL!

I have this same deal and my folks just left. I love them dearly but cannot for the life of me understand why they feel the need to rearrange my entire house. They went through all my kitchen cupboards, rearranging and throwing out things, with me barely concealing my rage. 😡
 
My parents try doing this stuff too and I just remind them Im an adult now.. Thanks for the advice but Ill pass.
 
My wife tells my mom that I throw my clothes on the chair in my bedroom. My mom gives me a stern look and I just remind her its my house.. next!!

When my mom comes by my house, she actually doesn't seem to care about how clean / messy my house is...which is a shocker.
 
My mom doesnt care that much either, but now that Im married when my parents come visit my wife FREAKS out..
 
Went to the gym today 👍 ran a mile did some squats etc.. Now I can relax.. oh wait I have a list of 25 things I need to do.. 👎

yep. not too much snow in Chicago this yr. I think the most we had was in mid dec then all that stuff melted.. Hopefully this will be my last cold winter for a VERY VERY long time.
 
Argh...just experienced the SECOND downside of home ownership (the first being that you have to fix stuff if it breaks). Shoveling. 'Nuff said.
 
Live in a condo someone else does it for us and let me say this again... Hopefully where I end up next yr there will be NO snow.. Im done with this cold weather bs.
 
I also live in a condo-type situation. It's just that no one shovels my parking space 🙁.

Ok I gotta be honest. All these recent SDN polls are annoying me. I mean what is the point.... there can be no validity to an anonymous internet poll with such specific subjective questions as these
For instance I am a man interested in EM so OF COURSE I just voted for EM on that poll socute posted the link to, BUT do I really have a clue which specialty is in a potential female suiter's eyes more "desirable"
Similarly I interviewed at a bunch of EM programs some of which are on the polls recently put up here on the EM forum BUT no more then 2 for any of em. I also have no clue what the posters are looking for so I have no basis of ranking them AT ALL but of course I picked one and voted as I am sure many others did. I bet even some of our path visitors who know even less about the programs listed voted so in the end I ask.... What's the point? Enough allready with the sdn polls please.
Unless by some trick each vote counts as a post. If so then I take all that back. 🙂

I don't think anyone is taking the ranking polls seriously, its just curiosity to see what sdn folks like...not sure about the votes counting as posts, but I want to set up a poll that asks sdn folks if they think that votes count as a post. I'm gonna go do that now.
