I going to Florida in March. Family (wife and all my inlaws) is vacationing in Orlando. I've been given one day to going deep sea fishing. Any good suggestions? Gulf or Atlantic Coast? Keep in mind I'll have to drive to the boat from Orlando on the morning of my trip. I'm not picky about type of fish -- just want to forget about real life for a day.

I've been told to go to Cape Canaveral. Anybody have anything further to suggest? Tips for choosing a good charter?

It's 73 here in Sunny Central Texas.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Take care,
Jeff

Jan 28th - Feb 5th... Zermatt (Matterhorn) in Swiss Alps.

Feb 25th - March 3rd... Big Sky, Montana (senior resident retreat at our PD's place).

Move to DC in July... lots of road trips to ski resorts in the Appalachians (can't compare to the rockies, though). But with an attending salary, hope to make two big ski trips a year (maybe a CME conference in Tahoe?!?).

Big move over the holidays. We continue to catch up on the Path guys.

Us - 30,041
Them - 34,573

Difference 4532.. We caught up by 62 more POSTS!!!

We are approaching the 4500 mark!

Strong work people!

So, I'm using my mom's Mac and I'm curious what everyone uses/prefers. It also is a great way to POST PAD 🙂.

So:
Mac/PC

I say PC. Just a creature of habit...could probably adjust to the Mac thing if forced to do so!

Agreed.

PC for me. I find mac difficult b/c I'm not used to it. But our US guys love it. They say it has better graphics.

Just passing thru
a very cool low 40's upper 30 in FL tonight..... :scared: Wheres my electric blanket??????

You know what's worse than being stuck on a Mac? Switching back and forth between a Mac and a PC. Gets kind of confusing!!!

The weird thing about macs is the cult-like following. I think their design is far superior but it is like the difference between an automatic and manual car. Both are cars but they provide a very different experience once you get behind the wheel.

You know MDs are just clearly better than DOs.

There was a report released that identified the absolute best residency.

I can't believe you guys haven't heard about the sure fire way to match into the residency of your first choice.

Burnout can be cured by this new idea.

I've created a computer algorithm that can exactly rate what your chances of matching are.

😉 There. That should knock about a thousand off of Path's lead.

Hey DocB, thanks for the great quote.

Thanks for the assistance! I wish I could think up a new topic like the ones above that would get this thing going but overall we are doing quite a nice job! 4500 is within reach!

What is the difference Between a Turtle and a Tortoise? And what about a Terrapin?

Anyone...

Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudinata, most of whose body is shielded by a special bony shell developed from their ribs. The term turtle is usually used for the aquatic species, aquatic fresh-water turtles also being referred to as terrapins. The term is also used (esp. North America) to refer to all members of the order, including tortoises, which are predominantly land based. The order of Testudines includes both extant (living) and extinct varieties. ...

Man the internet is GREAT!

The turtles? or the painters?

The painters.. Italian in full RAFFAELLO SANZIO (b. April 6, 1483, Urbino, Duchy of Urbino [Italy]--d. April 6, 1520, Rome, Papal States [Italy]), master painter and architect of the Italian High Renaissance. Raphael is best known for his Madonnas and for his large figure compositions in the Vatican in Rome. His work is admired for its clarity of form and ease of composition and for its visual achievement of the Neoplatonic ideal of human grandeur.

While we may term other works paintings, those of Raphael are living things; the flesh palpitates, the breath comes and goes, every organ lives, life pulsates everywhere.

Donatello (Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi), master of sculpture in both marble and bronze, one of the greatest of all Italian Renaissance artists.

A good deal is known about Donatello's life and career, but little is known about his character and personality, and what is known is not wholly reliable. He never married and he seems to have been a man of simple tastes. Patrons often found him hard to deal with in a day when artists' working conditions were regulated by guild rules. Donatello seemingly demanded a measure of artistic freedom. Although he knew a number of Humanists well, the artist was not a cultured intellectual. His Humanist friends attest that he was a connoisseur of ancient art. The inscriptions and signatures on his works are among the earliest examples of the revival of classical Roman lettering. He had a more detailed and wide-ranging knowledge of ancient sculpture than any other artist of his day. His work was inspired by ancient visual examples, which he often daringly transformed. Though he was traditionally viewed as essentially a realist, later research indicates he was much more.
