LOL I know you have finals and your brain is probably fried. Plus you were rushing to post before FF busted ya again BUT.... I think you got me confused with corpsman. (unless you were congratulating him on something from a different thread) Corpsman and I are pretty different. He is a former navy corpsman. I am a phormer Phish head who made his sign on based on a fictional protagonist from that bands hippy opus The Man Who Stepped into Yesterday. Not quite the same thing. The only thing ever shot at my direction was a glow stick 🙂 There are other differences between us but I think you get the point. NOW GO STUDY!!!!!!!!

oh yeah, and how was the paris trip?

Cold.. But we made the most of it and had a good time. We stayed about 1/10th of a mile away from the Eiffel tower.. Overall the louvre was cool and Versailles was nice but to be perfectly honest.. St Petersberg with the Hermitage and Catherine the greats palaces were better. The Louvre has the venus de milo and Mona Lisa as well as a few other "major" pieces but overall Ill take the Hermitage. Versailles... huge but disappointing..

Food 👍 incredibly expensive, AMAZING Crepes (we found the best place in the city by accident) We had solid morrocan food the last night with a solid wine from Algeria.

People: All the young people spoke solid english and were nice. The Older ones were hit or miss.. Everyone smokes so everywhere we went we smelled like a cigarette factory... Sux since neither I or the misses smoke..Yucky smell

Purchases: The wife is into antiques and antique silver... So we got a Sterling Silver Purficot (sp?) napkin ring and some other stuff like that. Brought back some chocolates (AMAZING) for my mom and mom-in-law. The neatest thing we bought were hand painted things like this..

Hope everyone is aware that in less than 168 hours we will all know where we will be..

Nice padding EF. Glad you and misses EF made a good time of it. You deserve it.

Dont know if I deserved it.. this yr has been kinda strangely stress free except for about a month in there between Late Nov to Late Dec... Other than that it has been awfully sweet!

Thanks for the well wishes though! Ill see what I can do today.. We have our 1st house showing later today!

EF: I didnt know Algeria made wine
interesting that hand painted pictures would have indian themes to them. i'd've thought maybe the eiffel or something but hey, indian themes it is then.
i've never been to paris, and was actually thinking of going this spring--it's good to have friends in spiffy places.

I didnt know algeria made wine either. (weird since they are a muslim country and muslims dont drink booze) As far as the paintings go, me and the wife arent too big into pictures of landmarks and stuff. Paris is great BTW, I really liked it (been there before). We have an "eclectic" assortment of things and this will only add to what we have.

Just making up for the posting on the G Res forum..

Calling it a night. Tired today. Wanted to share the bright spot in my day:

So, my mom was talking to her doctor (who is at an H-bomb affiliated hospital AND helping redesign their curriculum) and I came up (because really, what else is there to talk about?) and my mom mentioned my school. Now, my school is not really all that well-known for the most part and a lot of people get it confused and think they know what school it is when they really don't. However, when my mom said the name of my institution, Dr. H-bomb responded, "Oh wow, we've had students rotate through from there. They are great. We've asked a lot of them to 'stay.'" (I assume when she said "stay" she meant "put us #1 on their ROL"). Now, this isn't just any hospital, this is pretty much THE hospital (so anyone who knows Boston now has it narrowed down to one of two). Apparently, in her work on the curriculum committee she was encouraging Harvard to implement a new curriculum similar to ours - the only problem being that my school is apparently very hush-hush about it's curriculum.

Made my freaking day. Harvard wants it and I got it!!

HAPPY B-Day Hobbes. How young are ya?

My birthday is tomorrow and therefor I am going to make my guess in your BAC poll, MyBAC tomorrow -10.
Sorry but it's a known fact that angry people drink more. :meanie: GRRRRR
Happy belated!!! How did it go for you? Mine was a real drag...I was sick from a cold, but still went out drinking anyhow. For some reason I felt a lot worse the next day! 😉

will add tomorrow.. but a quickie..

Decided to get tix to the lyric opera since me and the ms have never been.. opera and EM-like short attention span dont go hand in hand.. It was decent but to say it was slow would be a huge understatement.

New t-shirt for the Path cronies:

PARTY LIKE A PATHOLOGIST
Crack open a cold one.

(Based on a modification of a t-shirt for embalmers that says "Party Like an Embalmer- Drain a few cold ones")

Pretty slow on here.. im off to bed in a few mins.. hope everyone is doing well!

And like the movie.. Ill pay it forward (never saw the movie so I assume this is right)

Sorry you were under the weather. Mine went well. Partied it up more the midnight it became my BDAY then the next night actually on my BDAY. Have pretty much stayed at least mildly intoxicated since then. Will be happy to see St Patty's come and go so I can become a normal human being again.

pices rock. Fear the fish :meanie:

Dude... My buddy was here yest and we went to ESPN Zone after having 4 beers here. We each had 3 more 25 oz beers there.. Not a bad start to my week 🙂

Heat Won BTW and now it looks like my fins will get a QB! Anyone who follows football has to know that Chambers, McMichael, and R Brown are great peices to start an O with. All we need is the QB and some OL help which I think will happen this yr.

We also need a little more help on D but I think we have a top 10 D right now!

GO FINS!!

my tolerance has officially gone to crap. i spent the whole day being sick yesterday. at least that kept me from freaking out and counting hours.

+pissed+ this is too much. i just tried going out to lunch to celebrate getting one of my top choices and couldnt eat or drink. last booze two days ago. fluctuating between angry 😡 and super happy  stupid stomach.

ok so i've discovered spiffy smileys, sue me.

irrka.. Eat then drink.. then you can be full and merry!!

arrgh if only t'were that simple. i did. and i did. and i think it must be a virus or something 'cause it wont go away. which is ... like... a bummer (man, that commercial for macs was awesome). no i actually AM bumming about not being able to drink. more so than about not being able to eat.

Well at least you got your priorities in order..Hope you get better by Thursday!

just thought i'd update: baby learned to eat and drink today. and drink. did i mention drink?

'course. that's how i discovered that the baby was back to drinking. i s'ppose normal people wouldnt refer to their ******ed stomach as a baby, huh.... oh well. too late.

Glad the baby is feeling better so you and the baby can fully partake on match day!

"... and there was much rejoicing..." (MP)

Well I should restate.. by work I mean house hunting/figuring out finances/errands/Match party prep/ St Pattys Day house party prep..
