I am a costco member every costco I have seen does tires only. No oil changes or brakes or mufflers or anything else. There must be a huge markup in tires for them to do only that.socuteMD said:

There's a company in south Florida called Just Brakes that handles only brake jobs. I think that they charge $99.

Ehh i think ill wait for my lease inspection and see if they think i need new breaks. I just dont want to have to pay $500 (for both) when I could do it for half of that.. Since we are just post padding instead of talking about anything in particular, I will share a story. Gather around children. Today I had this pediatrics exam. Sort of essay-type deal. So the history gave me Glenn as a patient. In writing my answer I fitted Glenn with the last name McFattypants. 
Now this could go in my favor or REALLY not. The grader will either think I am a tool (which I can live with) or funny (which is OK as well). Now if it is some old school prof who thinks medicine is "serious business missy!" than I might get worked. We'll have to see.
As for my motive... not sure. For some reason, McFattypants just seemed to belong with Glenn. 😀

The ole medicine sub-i caught up with me and after not doing a "real" rotation for a few months I got hit up with FIVE complex cases in one day
Some pretty unlucky patients such as guy comes in with left neck pain. The over the course of a little over a week gets dxed with......
SCC of the larynx
Then gets dxed with Pseudomonas UTI
I only have one day of rotations left 🙂
Then to top it off 2 colonic masses which are suspected cancer..
Bottom line was I got killed today.... I had no idea how to get a consult, everyone has a weird or different number... a disaster.. I was *supposed* to leave at 3..... that obviously didnt happen... Only 1 month of medicine at the residency spot...

I spent 75% of my time paging, repaging and chasing my tail... first days suck...especially when you get complex patients that you know nothing about...
Glad its over... of course 25 days left...
