This post is # 4569.. maybe by new years...

post pad again...and I'm far from you right now. Guess I should try to post pad more often.

Pads make the world fun. Think about it. It makes it so much easier to hit stuff. You can run into polls, walls, fall on the ground, etc. And, you can always post pad.

Very good point. Too bad there aren't pads at the bottom of shallow pools...

Just hot here. And I'm tired of OB.

So, deuist has 1700 posts or so, and I have close to 1500. Who will hit 2K first?

Note: deuist averages 2 posts per day while I average about 5.

Especially given the all-consuming affair I am about to begin with Robbins on Monday.

And I got a **socute** (the words of the receptionist at the salon...not mine!!!) haircut yesterday.

You can scratch all those projections. I only have 1400 posts...not close to 1500.

Deuist is gonna beat me.

EF, you sure are padding your way to the 5,000 mark very quickly.
I must have padded 4K of them during m4 yr. I did 2-3 a day in the interview thread and then of course this thread is my baby! 🙂

Since u set the original record of a full page of padding on here I think there is hope if you want there to be.

Of course let me not lie... Robbins is a bear and a lot of time.. I loved that book though.. Path is what makes med school fun... Histo is what made me think WTF am I doing here? I dont want to be a lab lackey.

Uno mas... Football season is around the corner!! SWEET!

"Of course I found the fingers Harry.....they are in the baggie inside that bag full of ice."

You have to love your neighbor's 15 y/o kid not bothering to shut down the mower before "unclogging it".

"Mike. MIKE! Sit down, stop screaming and please stop spraying blood everywhere. This is a new shirt."

He stopped, looked at me, kind of chuckled, but stopped screaming. 👍

His left fingers were gone about a half inch proximal to the knuckles (except for his little finger which had a little stump left), and his thumb was gone about an inch and a half above the wrist.

I ended up putting my BP cuff around his wrist to get the bleeding under control until I got the bandages in place.

The surgeons successfully reattached all of his fingers except his little finger which was in three pieces on scene. His mother called me the night after it happened and told me thank you for helping out. 👍

How come Med students can't do arithmetic?

600/5 = 120
300/2 = 150

You neglected the well-known "Robbins factor" where average posts per day is automatically divided by 2 to account for decreased free time and increased desire to tear one's hair out.

My sis gets loveys but not me?

Well, since I'm getting no love from you, maybe you should introduce me to the sister. 😉 *runs and hides to avoid beating*

It's kind of like pouring water into an already full bucket. In order to get more information into their heads, they have to lose knowledge they gained while in elementary school.

I've always liked the penguin theory - the brain is like an iceberg filled with penguins. Each penguin represents one fact. Once the iceberg is full of penguins, no further penguins can be added. Unless, of course, a penguin jumps off. So once in med school, the acetylcholine penguin replaces the math penguin. Furthermore, the iceberg shrinks with age (or alcohol, or weed, or coke, or whatever.)

Basically, everything I learn within medicine replaces something I knew in preschool. Or college. Meanwhile, the total area available for information shrinks yearly. Yikes!
