Hey guys, i just started studying for part 2. I was just wondering if any one could tell me from where should i study patient management from?

Is mosby enough for this. What books usually the dental school follows??

And also any tips for studying regarding medically compromised patients?

Mosby's was decent, better than First Aid. Nothing really prepares you for the pt management. It has a lot of psychology on it and things I hadn't really heard of. Good luck !

You can`t go wrong with mosby, know yr mosby back to back

The vast majority of my classmates that have just taken the test have told me that Mosby was not very helpful and that Patient Management was probably the hardest part. I'm studying myself and trying to figure out what extra sources to study for this part. Maybe going to the library and checking if they have the reference books for PM that Mosby cites. I mean even Oscar Arevalo, one of the authors of this section is faculty at my school and we even got a review from him... apparently it isn't enough.

Good Luck! and if you find anything helpful please share!

The problem with that section is that comprises Public Health, Behavioral Sciences and Law... I thought the public health section, written by Dr Arevalo, was very helpful particularly when it comes to the financing of dental services.

ne1 plz can u tel me....i heard that after passin NBDE part II we need to do a course of 3 yrs...which cost $90,000/yr.........is it really so...plz inform me if ne1 know bout this...🙁...>🙂

well it depends on the uni you will get admision or plan to go.... for example NYU is 3 yrs & BU is 2 yrs. likewise tution varies with each uni.

They are talking about his chapter in Mosby... As far as reviews his name does not appear in the roster of professors at the U of Ky so I have no clue where/when he's giving reviews... Someone else might know...
