Army to determine if Bergdahl is owed back pay for his time in captivity

The next time the Army doesn't pay you, or you get it into your mind that your hospital is choking your resources to save money, keep in mind that they're considering giving backpay to a guy who got caught because he abandoned his post.

My take on the issue: The DoD (and government in general) are all about rules and precedent. If it’s their policy to pay those captured and there isn’t a precedent about how a guilty plea enters into that pay decision, looking into the decision is the right thing to do. Should the fact that they are looking into have been made public? No. But that’s part of a bigger issue in the government recently.
