Do I know you? lol
Do I know you? lol
Congrats to all that have been accepted...
anyone know when they'll be sending out more interview invites?
I just got an interview invite about 15 minutes ago.
when did you send in your app? and did they ever notify you if you were complete?
...and congrats by the way!
Thanks. I've actually been complete for about 2 months. I guess they had actually emailed me an invite a couple of weeks ago but called because I never responded. It must have gone to junkmail because I never saw it. They didn't ever notify me I was complete as far as I know (but I might have had the same spam issue).
Kind of makes me wonder if I have missed other ones....
Good luck. You might want to call and check if it has been quite a while.
question...soo ive heard that PCOM doesn't reject you until after interview season..but if you call them up is there a way of finding out if they have reviewed your application already? PCOM is my #1 choiceeeeeee and i've been complete since 9/30 and am curious if I've either been looked at and shoved aside or if my app is still awaiting its initial fate. anyone know if you can find this out?
I emailed them b/c I sent it on Monday and live within Philadelphia. I wanted to know when we're getting more information. I hope they reply soon, but understand if they don't. BTW, you should join the PCOM facebook group 😉.Bacchus, do you know if PCOM is gonna email us or send us a snail mail confirming that they have received the $250 deposit?

For those of you submitting LOR from a dean or advisor make sure that in the body of your letter, the person mentions they are/were your dean/advisor explicitly. Apparently having the individuals title on the letterhead and in the signatory information is not enoguh to clue in the admissions committee.
WTF. I just called the admissions office and I was told that they do not have my MCAT scores!?!?!?! What the **** is up with that? Every other school has them so they were definitely sent out!!
I gotta call back later cause the person who would deal with this is out right now. **** this has to have delayed my application for a while. This blows, PCOM is one of my top choices.
This almost makes me paranoid enough to call up every other school I have not specifically heard from.
I'm looking at the pdf now from the aacomas site for PCOM, and it lists my mcat scores. FUIDshcfuihdualfkashfilasuhfsuaildfh 😡![]()
I'm sorry to hear this. I should warn you however that there was a separate box to check off to send scores to PCOM. They accept them directly from AAMC, not jus through AACOMAS. Maybe try to send them directly from the AAMC website and see what happens...
How do you know this? Were the admissions people nice enough to tell you this and how did you clear up the situation? Thanks for the heads up!
$250 at first and $2000 by April 15.So, is the deposit for PCOM only $250? I interviewed there on 10/22 and LOVED it. Definitely my first choice.
I received the "complete" e-mail 3 days ago so I'm hoping to get an interview soon! I sent in all my materials almost 2 months ago!
so ig ot an interview and acceptance at AZCom and an interview/waitlist at Western but i havent heard a single thing from PCOM.
Do they prefer local people...im from Cali.....or do they jsut ahte my GPA
3.1 GPA, 11 12 11 S MCAT ..... 3 pubs, 4 years research and a bunch of other ECs.....
any thoughts? I really want a shot at PCOM.
Completeness is marked by a letter. Letters are sent through the postal service. I received mine at a home address, not a current address. They were nice enough to send the acceptance to the local address.
Anyone know how long it takes for PCOM to make a decision after the interview (i.e. accept, reject, WL)?
can't just say you really want an interview. You have to SHOW them.
Here is a step by step guide for getting that interview:
1) Call them up and tell them how you want to let them know how serious you are about getting in...
2) go out to target. buy yourself a nice camping tent.
3) set it up outside the admissions office right in that front lobby
4) wait...
plenty of people get in that way.
They cashed my deposit on the 27th.
