Current students please give insight on recent rumors/negative comments on the campus..Iv'e recently been accepted and I'm debating one whether or not to attend vs another DO school (relatively low tier) . Any input is appreciated.
In short, Yay or Nay to acceptance, and why?

I would also like to know. Recently got accepted as well and left with a very positive image of the school post interview. I got accepted to both this campus and south GA so if anyone has heard anything about how south GA will develop their program, that insight would be helpful as well.

I heard GA is not making good choices. Mandatory lectures being the biggest mistake.

Don’t go to the south GA one if you can help it. You don’t want to be the first class. At least the other one is close to atl

The person said they were accepted to both. I said do not go to the south GA. Idc what the thread is about.

Please explain.
As said before mandatory lectures. I am okay with that if the students were informed of it but that change was literally made the weekend before the tern started. No Board prep or support if you count COMBANK. Lectures are a mess. Ie. you learn the physiology of the lung and heart for the first exam, then the next exam is the pathophysiology and the physiology of the kidney. It is a mess not well organized. Not much time off for Step 1/Level 1 prep. and once third year start, the administration are MIA to you questions and concerns. Not recommended as a first choice for people applying.

Are students coming out with decent residency appointments afterward? Is there a good mix of students from outside of the Georgia area? Specifically the northeast region

I would say many of them went in to FM. Even though they say it was a 100 match rate doesn't mean everyone got their first choice. I see more matches in the South than the North.
