Peds Emergency Medicine

I am interested in pediatric emergency medicine. I've heard that there are combined programs for this, and also that you can do an EM residency and then a peds fellowship or vice versa. What is the best way to do this? How competitive is it? and are there many jobs available for this specialty?

Very competitive, thanks to George Clooney. Check out www.saem.org which has all the residency programs across the country categorized into 3 or 4 year programs, combined EM/Peds, EM/IM, etc...

That site also has tons of articles under "medical students" such as what RD's look for, research, etc...
