Peer Letters?!

I recently found out that UF will require a leer of rec from a peer. USF requires 5 letters and FSU requires a peer also. So it looks like i have to do it. Do you ask a close friend and have him talk about how honest kind and unlikly to scew his sister you are? What are they looking for? I have never heard about this and now its freaking me out.

I know Dartmouth does this for their undergrads, and I don't think they put any weight on it in the selection unless its bad. I guess one time some girl asked another girl to write hers, and she wrote all about how the girl cheated her way through high school, so of course she didn't get in. I wouldn't worry about your letter too much though, because they won't likely give it much credit, since everyone has some friend they can get to write a LOR for them .

I have to admit...that is kind of weird. And since everyone has a best friend they could ask for that, it also seems kind of pointless.
