856 is the Camden County area code in NJ which is my area code. I live 15-20 from philly.
Well, I am in the same boat. I am starting to think my application got lost in a pile of documents somewhere or something....I have not heard from U Penn since their last letter concerning missing materials.

I have heard that Penn has one more interview session...in two weeks..letters have not gone out yet. and...this is a reliable source
It's true...March 20 is the last interview day - invites will be coming out sometime this week. We should also hear about rejections if no interview is granted.
Let the anxious waiting continue.......
i'm confused.. has anyone heard any rejections from penn yet? there were some posts that suggested it (on the "who has sent out rejection letters" thread), but everyone seemed like they weren't sure if some rejections have been sent or not..

You may or may not.... I didn't get my rejection until 3/28 last year. They hold off on rejecting some "maybe's" so if people cancel their interview the day before they can call you and see if you'd be willing to interview last minute. Hang in there!! 🙂

I can't speak specifically for this cycle, but in previous years they sent out rejections throughout. Each round of interviews also included rounds of rejection letters. But nobody has posted any "Got my rejection today, good luck to the rest of you..." notes on here this cycle so idk...

I emailed the Associate Dean of Admissions and he wrote back the following:
We still have interviews in March. Those invitations should be out within the next week. If you do not receive one, then you will not be considered any further for the Class of 2013.

What do they mean by within next week? Is it this week or next week?
Next week is their Spring Break - so we won't hear anything. All interview invites will be out by the end of this week....

Thanks kayakman28, that's good to know.. At least I will know by the end of this week whether I'm going to EU or staying in U.S... what a relief 🙄
i'm a little curious about the last minute interview invitations, in the case that someone declines the offer last minute. if they only give you a day's notice, do they take into account your location? i'm about 2 hours away from philly, and while i'd do anything to make the interview, there are logistical issues. does anyone know anything about this issue?

I second your letter to Penn, I haven't heard ANYTHING since their application complete letter, and it's driving me bat crazy.

Good or bad, I wish they would let the rest of us know where we stand. Add Penn to the fact that I'm still waiting on admissions decisions from 4 other schools and I can't help but wish someone would tell me something, anything!

Today I found out that yesterday was the last day interview invitations were emailed. I know this for a fact because I work at the vet school everyday and spoke to Mr. Dimeo this morning. As a 2nd time applicant, ISer, and Penn employee, I am beyond disappointed. I hope those of you who were still hoping to receive an interview are glad that I posted this information even though you are disappointed. Personally, I am just glad the tortuous wait is over. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news 🙁 Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

financial aid question...
Penn's website says that Pennsylvania residents get a PHEAA grant, but when I went to my PHEAA page (I've already done my FAFSA, and I've gotten PHEAA in the past for undergrad) it said that since I'm not an undergrad they can't do anything for me. At least that's what it sounded like. Anyone know anything about if Penn IS students do get PHEAA grants and how that worked?

Thanks redsteven....I've recovered somewhat and have turned to my last and final app, Western. Hopefully I'll get some good news here otherwise...I'm off to Ross!

Hey Bunnity - I know IS Penn students will receive the grant but not sure where to find the app. I do know that the amount has decreased considerably from last year🙁

Still no word... 😕 And I heard from yet another person that their friend called Penn and they said they assumed Cornell students go to Cornell vet!! I know that source is somewhat convoluted, but I've heard that complaint more than once. If it's true, that's pretty awful.
Just to clear this up a bit: IS students do get a grant from the state, and they don't have to anything to get it (except write a thank you note).
In previous years this grant was $3000-4000 per year, but with the massive state budget cuts to the vet school, next year's grant will be ~1500, and who knows what it will be from there. In other words, it's not gonna be a significant part of anyone's budget anymore.
