Hey everyone, I was finishing up the secondaries I had recieved, but got stuck on the part where it asks for a personal statement. Do I just cut and paste the one I have or do I have to write one that is completely different? Don't the schools have the personal statement from our primary ap? Thanks for any advice in advance!

Write a new one. Welcome to the bull**** of the US med school application system.

Lesson Number 1: Primary application = meaningless.

Not neccessarily. DMU uses the primary application including essay for their acceptance decision. Their secondary is pretty simple, standard personal information questions.

I think they serve their purposes.
So it would be better to write a new one?

definitely write another one, unless you want your app to be thrown out. Also, NYCOM uses the primary app for invites.
