I would like to know if the PGY-II PM&R resident is the "Rehab Intern"?

No, the PGY-II is the resident on service. In most inpatient settings, there is only one attending and one resident on service. Thus, according to the laws of physics and residency; "s**t rolls downhill". This means the scut will fall to the resident on service to do. Thus, he/she feels much like a "rehab intern" which I feel is a derogatory term. But don't fret, I've been told it gets better by many folks...
