Is it just me or, for the most part, is the physics 1001 book insane. The beginning chapters were pretty doable and actually, quite easy..however, once I got to chapter 3 things started changing. Some of the equilibrium questions left me completely stumped. Maybe I'm just not getting the concepts as well as I thought, but still... do you guys have any input?

Thanks

Completely agree, there are a ton of VERY difficult questions (electrochemistry and fluids especially). It goes without saying though that the more you do of them the more it hammers home key ideas.

Yeah, thats true..it just really demoralizes you when you have to look in the back cause you have no idea how to tackle or a problem. Or even worse, when you think you get it and you still get it wrong. They say EK is harder so its better practice, but dang I wanna get most of these questions right.

I was getting pretty discouraged when I started doing the 1001 physics and g-chem but after taking practice tests, I realized many of the questions in the 1001 books for physical sciences require comprehension that's beyond the scope of the MCAT. It's still great practice though and if you finish a good portion of the book, you'll feel much more confident going into the real test.

Sweet. I knew it was hard, but it was one of those where you just couldn't distinguish if it was really just you or the question. For the most part, after they explain it you can see how they got there, but there are a few cases where I just want to light my book on fire.
