Physics: Cal Based or intro?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The non-calculus based physics is what dental schools are looking for. At my school the only people that calc based physics are engineering students, unless people really love the math and just want to be punished. 😀

If it would ease your mind don't hesitate to call a couple of the schools that you plan on applying to and get thier answer first hand.

Thank you for the info, but do u mind telling me what dental school u attend?

I'm going throught the application process now for next years class, I'm not in dental school.

Just as eric275 said, non-calculus based physics required by dental schools. I guess you still may take that class and it should be accepted by dental schools, but you gonna have to struggle a lot more, especially if you took calculus a while ago. I was in these shoes. Worked for me 🙂

College Physics, AKA non-calculus physics, intro to physics, or algebra based physics is all that is required for all dental schools (and some don't even require that)

You do have the option of taking the calulus based physics, intended for math or physical science majors. I took calculus based physics and I loved it (I was a physics major at the time though). So that decision is up to you.

To my knowledge, I have not been given any extra consideration for it, and so far no adcom has ever commented on it. I would only do it if you are good at or really like math.
