Hi, I have a question about taking a physics class. I'm planning on taking one at a junior college, because it will be much more convenient. If I were to take it at the college I'm at now, I won't be able to work. I'm wondering how bad it may look on my transcript if I took it at a junior college. Oh, if anyone from OSU-COM could tell me how they view this, let me know, it's my first choice...when and if i make it that far. Thanks for any info! 🙄

talk to the schools you would like to attend and tell them your situation...some are okay with it - others might not like it as much. if you are an OK resident, I would assume your chances are really good.

just don't do bad in a jr. college class...that doesn't look too good, even though i know some jr colleges have pretty challenging courses.

I took about 51 credits at a community college. Gen Chem 1&2, Physics 1, Gen Bio 1&2, Microbio, Calculus 1&2, plus english and other elctives. As you can see most of my premed requirements were taken at a community college.I never call it a junior college though. Most of the classes I took at at CC wereon par with most 4 year universities. I was just accepted to PCOM and they did not say anything about it.

I am an MS-2 @ OSU-COM. If you have a reason for taking classes at a communty college ($, work, conflict), that is certainly understandable. I took my whole first year at a community college, including gen chem, so I wouldnt worry about it. Just do well...dont let them weed you out at a community college, because that will really hurt. Let me know if you have any questions about the school.
