Would taking physics in the summer at a Community College be a bad Idea? I know its one of the pre-requisite classes, but its not necessarily like ochem or bio...

Yeah I would think it's a bad idea. Especially if you are already at a university and you are just taking this one class at the CC. On the other hand, it's not as bad as taking Organic Chem there. My advisor told me to make sure that I take Ochem at the University no matter what.

no, it's not bad. in fact, I highly recommend it since it's MUCH easier at the community college, and it will be an easy A. personally, physics at my university is known to be very difficult, so I knew I would get a B or C at best. an "A" at another college will help you more than a B or C at your university.

remember, this "A" you get at the community college counts toward your overall AADSAS GPA so it's not a bad idea.

I didn't take physics II at my university but I did still take it at an accredited 4 year university. I had to go home for the summer and the class was about half the price at the university close to home so I took physics there. It wasn't a CC but it was probably much easier than it would have been at my school. It saved me money and it had zero impact on my application as far as I can see. I would check with the schools that you are interested b/c they don't all accept CC credits for your prereqs. If that is the case, maybe try what I did.

unbelievable dat scores! holy moly!

4-year colleges are more rigorous than CC. If you take classes at a CC, you will not be able to apply to Tufts and what other schools decide to delete CC applicants from their application pool.

I took my chems, gen and Ochem at a college that used to be a jr. college (they offer 4 year degree programs now) I didn't pop back in just to take those classes, I was still working on my AA before going to a university. You guys think I will be doomed?

I took both my physics at a CC and all the rest at a 4 year university. No one ever asked me about it, it's a lot easier, and I've already been accepted at 2 dental schools.
