Hi
I am an occupational therapist working in UK. I have worked in physical disabilities for long years in different countries and different settings .
But I feel frustrated that just working clinically is not enough to help patients to get on with their lives.I feel there is a big gap in the clinical settings, community sets ups and actual life of an individual.
Some day I would like to work with some NGO or charity to reach out people with disabilities in developing countries or may be start my own charity!
I am looking for a career change but want to still work in disabilities .
I looked at public health / Global health programmes which I like but I am quite unsure about what will be my future . Would it change my career path completely.
Are there any physios, OT, or any one from allied health back ground doing MPH or global health.
Would my experience as an Occupational therapist be considered for applying to MPH course. Can anyone please advise or share any inforamtion related.
