This is pretty random but does anybody have pics/videos of student life in AZCOM?.. I can't find much on YouTube.

The southernmost three-part building on that quad is Fee Hall at MSU-COM (yeah, it's an old dorm). The rest of those buildings around it are still MSU undergrad dorms.

how come the COM doesn't have as nice of a building as the CHM?

Yeah, you'd think with 50% more students we would have bigger and better facilities! They are pretty spoiled with their new Grand Rapids campus (pictures you attached) and their remaining space in East Lansing is also really nice and updated (in our radiology building). Our current COM dean has hinted that it's his final mission before retirement to see us get a new building and I believe they're currently working through the many steps of approval. Assuming it'll be a $75-100M+ project, I'm sure it will take some time.

So basically it's just a matter of time, b/c I think the GR campus was CHM's way of moving out of Fee Hall (which we used to share). It'll be one of those things where we tell future COM students how good they have it in their fancy state-of-the-art building in EL while we had to "suffer" through Fee Hall. 😛 Builds character, ... right?

Just replace Calvin's rant with "... new building ... medical school ... has classes in a drafty decrepit old dorm"

Edit: though for completeness I should also include pictures of our Detroit Medical Center and Macomb campuses (both pretty new)... but there just aren't photos out there.
Detroit ... okay, well a sign:

Just posted this on another thread, but here's KCU pics:

Personally the way KCUMB looked and how it feeled to me when I interviewed were big reasoned why I fell in love with the school. It's simply compared to a lot of other DO schools a real organic campus type feel.

Also that Touro-NV picture tho...

TUN might be an extreme example, but DO schools tend to have relatively small, more limited facilities anyway, warehouses or not.

No doubt. Plenty of DO schools are tiny and what not. But they are homely and they are usually well built. If I weren't sure that Touro-NV was above ground I'd assume I was in a fallout bunker.

For what it's worth Touros usually do look awful aesthetically. But usually they are decent educationally.

UNE is insanely pretty.

KCU is about average I would say, the buildings are in great shape and it really has a solid campus feel as @serenade mentioned. It reminded me a lot of my undergrad.

But you cant beat those florida schools haha... jeeze... Though I hate Florida, so if I ended up there it wouldve been like that scene in Waterboy where his friend asks him why he signs up for the class and they look out the window at the beautiful view heh.

Yeah, I was really impressed with UNE... the price tag just scared me off a bit! Haha but man I could have seen myself living in a cottage by the water.
Next year I'm living in a 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath right on the ocean. 3 year old house worth well over a million dollars, fully furnished for 2k a month. With a couple roommates, it ends up costing less than a cheap apartment back home.

my lord, that sounds amazing. bet that view and the sound of those ocean waves will be super therapeutic when stress is at an all time high next year.

I'm hoping OMS-2 isn't all that bad. Anatomy and basic OMM fall by the wayside, and those are by far my weakest subjects, but what are emphasized the most by a long shot in the first year.

Yeah UNE reminds me of Monterey Bay here in CA but UNE is much greener.

KCU def has that traditional university feel with the red brick but they are going through with some pretty expansive renovations over the next few years. You can check it out here.

PCOM GA is kind of sad looking... but LUCOM turned out pretty nice.

Cool! Looks like they have some pretty exciting planned changes.

PCOM-GA reminds me of a mall somewhat D: just from that one picture at least. But yeah LUCOM turned out very nice as did Marian!

Yeah! Sad I won't be able to see all those changes but it it's pretty exciting.

WesternU through me off completely though with how the campus is set up. It's like a line of buildings across multiple blocks with the the nursing college almost completely separated from the rest of the campus.

Marian is very pretty for sure. The area is extremely nice too - safe, lots of parks, basically have the city in the background. I really liked the area a whole lot when I interviewed.

They look like the serve good food. Did they have good food during the interview?

Also does anyone have any more pics of DMU? @touchpause13 posted that awesome pic but it would be cool to see inside some of the buildings.

They only had like granola bars/bagels when I went. I definitely felt like they skimped out on us heh... Add that to the list of the many tiny reasons that had an additive effect on why I did not decide to attend there.

Granola bars and bagels.....that's lame!!!

Let's just say I'm happy with the campus at UNE lol. I can walk right down to the water, it's awesome.

UNE definitely won the "best looking campus" of the schools that I was accepted too. Though the price and the group-based problem sessions along with how weary I am of living in an area that gets nearly 100 inches of snow per year, unfortunately negated UNE's aesthetic appeal.

idk about homely, but it would be cool for schools to have buildings like MSU's CHM. I feel like at most schools, facilities are too limited, especially with respect to class sizes. But, I guess there just isn't enough money for larger facilities.

I thought it was kinda depressing. The campus was in my opinion very lame and the building already too small. This not to mention that they're adding more programs which will exasperate the size issue.

Honestly Touro just has a fetish for retrofitting.

again, this seems to be an issue with most schools anyway. PCOM-GA, for example, houses multiple programs in its warehouse and even expanded its class size not long after opening.

On the topic of retrofitting, from the picture of Touro Middletown, it totally looks like a rehabbed Ramada or Holiday Inn Express .
