Plant biology on PCAT??

I dont understand why we would have to know plant bio on the pcat.

For anyone that has taken pcat in last 1-2 years, is there plant bio or animal specific biology questions??

Yes, there is plant bio. And why wouldn't we have plant bio? Where do you think a lot of the meds come from?

well generally speaking, i would think just for test purposes (PCAT) would emphasize human bio more than plants /animals....

Yeah I took the PCAT last year and there was a lot of plant bio, which I hated because I wasnt ready for it, but did well enough. I would say I had mroe plant bio than anatomy/physo questions, which I did find odd. I dont get it either, plant bio is only important when used with o-chem, but the type of questions I had didnt relate to chemestry at all.
