Hi All
I am considering online MPH at Walden university with an aim to join some non-profit organization in the US to join my family and relatives.I am a practicing physician in a developing country and have already earned post graduation in Microbiology and Dermatology.Due to financial and other considerations, a campus program is not suitable for me.I will greatly appreciate your inputs on the idea of doing an online MPH and in particular about experiences with the Walden university. Please also p m me of you know of any forum where online MPH issues are discussed. Thanks a lot.

Why not go to one of the accredited online programs like Florida International University, Emory, or UNC.

They all have online and offline programs.

yeah, if you pay for an online MPH from a school in the US, make sure it's accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health, aka. CEPH. Their website is www.ceph.org; also check www.asph.org, and on each just browse for schools with online options. Here's a snippet from the FAQ's page on the CEPH site:

I would like to earn my public health degree on-line. Are there accredited institutions where I can do that?

A number of CEPH-accredited institutions offer on-line degrees. These are quite varied. Many, though not all, require you to spend some time on campus for orientation, one weekend a semester or some other interval. The time to completion also varies: some allow you to proceed at your own pace, while others require students to enter as a cohort and progress on a single, set schedule. Some institutions only offer on-line degrees in a specific topical area, and others require specific backgrounds or preparations for admissions eligibility.

Many schools and programs offer coursework on-line, though they may not offer an entire degree on-line. We do not maintain a centralized list of all institutions that offer on-line courses within their curriculum.
Accredited schools and programs that we know of that offer a complete MPH degree on-line, however, are listed below.

If there is an accredited institution that you are interested in that does not appear on this list, you should contact them and find out what their on-line options are. Your goal should be to find the institution that best matches your educational and career goals. Additionally, because offerings are constantly evolving, this list is not exhaustive.
