I am currently applying to medical school but was thinking that if I don't get in this year that I will apply to podiatry school next year.
My question is whether or not I need any significant shadowing experience of a podiatrist or whether or not shadowing doctors and having lots of volunteer experience is good enough. Also I don't know average grades or MCAT for schools...but here are my stats
32 MCAT (10ps,11vr,11bs)
3.75 science GPA
3.77 overall GPA
shadowed primary care physician (50hrs)
Worked in ER (50hrs)
volunteered in Outpatient treatment (75 hrs)
volunteer working with developmentally disabled children
member of 2 clubs
Teaching assistant
worked in several 1-2 day community volunteer activities
worked in jobs every summer of undergrad including working in a lab one summer
Avid golfer
Play guitar in a "band" (kinda a jokeof a band...but i enjoy playing)
Please tell me what my chances are for being accepted into ANY podiatry school.
