Please help regarding loan problem.

Hi Iam on work permit status(EAD)ie.,my green card is in final stage.I got admitted into BU.School said I can continue on my status and I am eligible to be a student.But when I applied for TERI loan they say that Iam not eligible to get loan inspite of having cosigner who is a US citizen .This happened after getting pre approval and school certification.Did any of you went through this situation ?If yes ,then how did you proceed?Please help.........

Get a cosigner, that's the way out. Even if you have green card in your hand, you might still not be able to take a loan because they all ask you to have some credit history in the US and are GC holder for a while

Iam sorry if Iam not clear but I mentioned that I have a cosigner who is a citizen (he is here since 40 years).Inspite of that this happened.

Actually when I applied for loan through TERI, in the beginning they refused the loan, then I had to literally convince them over the phone that they infact do give loan to ppl with my status, I was persistant over the phone as one of my friends in the previous batch got the loan but apparently they had totally forgotten about it.. Their service sucks !
If you know anyone who got their loan through TERI and were in the similar situation that you are in right now, tell them about it and sometimes insisting that they do infact give loans to ppl in your status works, as weird as this sounds it worked for me.

When you talk to them ALWAYS write down their name and the day/date/time you spoke to them.
