n wudnt increasing the cross sectioonal area decrease the rate of diffusion as ...... it'll make the membrane thicker isnt it?😕

as the rate of diffusion is directly proportional to area of cross section, so if we increase the area, the rate of diffusion should increase. remember the formula for rate of effusion.
