1) Can you take notes while interviewing the patient?
2) Do you have to take the blood pressure on the patient even though it's been reported?
3) How do you drape the patient if they are already wearing gowns?
4) Is it better to write the report or type it?

1 - yes you can take notes (in fact I think you SHOULD because most people can't remember all the details from HPI and history)

2 - You don't have to unless it's warranted (i suppose orthostatics but I think it takes too much time to do to be worth it)

3 - Just put the drape on the patient's lap and that counts as you draping them (it will be on a stool next to the patient who is often sitting on the examination table)

4 - I think typing is better since you can go back to edit things and its much more legible. On the other hand, you could squeeze in more information if you hand wrote it as opposed to the character limit with typing. It's a matter of choice
