anyone with advice or experience with a portable anesthesia machine for use in offices?
Any reason you want vapor instead of TIVA?anyone with advice or experience with a portable anesthesia machine for use in offices?
No problem. All I do is dental. I have the DRE because I like nitrous. But I think the other two options are better if you are going air/oxygen. One option that is nice on the DRE is it has low flow flowmeters but at the expense of size and weightsorry to be slow to answer.
needs to do some peds dental GA, so anticipate some mask inductions
Good point. Dentists will not have an air line but it may be possible to have air tanks brought in depending on the office setup and state regulations. I agree that nitrous is definitely more convenient and readily availableDRE VSO2 is what we use for in-office peds dental. Easily portable and very robust machine. No office that I know of runs an air line, all O2 and Nitrous. DRE does not have a ventilator which can come in handy occasionally. Sevo vaporizer for mask inductions then switch to TIVA. I have been very pleased with the DRE
