Hey guys, i know this must be a simple question and for that i apologize but i was curious what post-bacc classes can be taken in order to redeem and slightly below average GPA. I guess i just dont know what post-bacc classes entails. Im just thinking for worse case scenario if i cannot get accepted with my current stats. thanks for your input and help.

For some students, completing an SMP is a good opportunity to show adcoms you have the brains and dedication to handle advanced science courses.

It really depends on your stats. I suppose you could enroll in a semester's worth of upper-level classes, and excel in them, but that's banking on a risky presumption...

It might be worth it to reevaluate the entirety of your resume to improve on the gaps: retake the MCAT and score higher, build up meaningful ECs and experiences, et cetera. Again, this is dependent upon just how much your stats deviate from the norm of matriculating students.

Good luck!

Try looking up "Masters in Medical Science" - it's a great program.

And I found this on the AAMC website: http://services.aamc.org/postbac/

Spelling 101 for starters 🙂

Check out Drexel's post bacc programs. I did a masters program there and was ultimately successful in getting into med school(s).

Good luck!
