I am a 25 y.o. post-bacc student taking the required Bio, Chem, Physics etc. for Pre-Med. (All A's so far)
I graduated with a pretty low GPA as an undergrad (psychology major). (~2.75). I am hoping to make up for that with my post-bacc grades (and acing the MCAT, of course!)
My question is this: I took 4 courses undergrad which will fall into the BCMP grades. One A, One B, so I am not too concerned about them, but 2 were C's. I was wondering, would it be worth it to take these courses over, (Stats and Astronomy) and count the new grades(hopefully A's) into my BCMP or would I have to include the old grades anyway? I would be taking them at a different institution so they would not change my overall GPA any.
(Does anyone know if you take courses at the same institution after graduating if they change your gpa any?)
I guess what I'm looking for is an adcom's point of view regarding this. I don't want to waste the money on stats and especially astronomy if I don't have to. But if I think it will be an advantage I would definitely do it!
Any support or suggestions would be sooooo appreciated!!!!!

For your AMCAS GPA you will enter in all grades, new grades don't replace old ones. If you retook the classes and aced them then the A's would go into you gpa but wouldn't cancel out the C's. A good rule of thumb is usually to only retake if you received a D or lower. 2 C's won't kill you so don't waste the money retaking the classes. Plus stats and astronomy aren't "important" to adcoms. Good luck!😀
