Hello,

I was fortunate enough to receive an interview at my first choice school. Now that the experience is over, I was wondering if people had suggestions on what (if anything) I should do next. Thank you for any advice in advance. I really appreciate your time.

Go out ... relax ... get a drink ... spend time with your girlfriend/boyfriend ... and study for the classes you're taking this semester, if any

I bet u it's easy to say that b/c u already got accepted somewhere. I'm also waiting for a response. From the time after my interview till now, I can hardly manage my nerves. I've tried all of the above and lots more and still doesn't work.

Some people like to write thank you notes....I never did.

Since all you can do now is wait, I found it beneficial not to ruminate and dwell on the impending decision. You've done your role and now the decision is out of your control. Continue with your life as if nothing pharmacy school admission related was going on and don't stress out about it.

Reward yourself if you get accepted, move on quickly if you don't.

you can worry for the next few weeks (months) whether your interview will turn into an acceptance 😀 (it's what im doing, and i know it's counter productive, but i guess its the evil of the application cycle) and often supplement your anxiety with a cold one, it helps 👍 good luck!

Actually it was a month from my first interview that I got accepted. And I even haven't hear from the first school I interviewed with. And right after the interview, I went out, had a good time and relaxed myself. After the interview there's nothing else you can do except go on with your life, and that's what I did.

Worry about what you CAN control. The interview's done and there's nothing you can do about it now, whether it was a positive or negative experience. Time to move on and get on with life.

One of the things you can control is sending a thank you note...it NEVER hurts...may not help, but won't hurt either...and you never know who will read it - could be the person who makes the final decision on whether or not you get accepted.

Thank you all for your advice and support. I received my acceptance letter this afternoon. I am so excited. It is such a great feeling!

My plans for after interviews depend on the school. If I get an interview at the school nearby home then my hubby and I would probably go out for dinner that evening. Watch a movie at home, have a good tall one! LOL. If it's an interview for my out of state school then I'll be staying with my aunt while out there and we'd probably do something similar, go out for dinner later and out to a movie after. Just chill out and try and release the built up stress over it all. Then wait... and wait... and hopefully not wait too long...

You got it, buddy.

Do whatever you can to divert your mind....go play Halo or something...

I finally told myself: "If they don't want me, I don't want them"

I did and every morning when I wake up the first thing in my mind is the interview. I repeated myself exactly what I told them. I'm looking forward to hearring from them but also I'm afraid that I may hear "...unfortunately...good luck". This is torturing.

You need to find a way to relax. What's done is done and there's nothing you can do to change it. I'm sure the interview went well. If it was your first one, now you know how the process is, and you'll be able to control/manage your anxiety a lot better for the next one.
