Recently interviewed at a top choice school that made it clear they accept letters of interest after the interview. Was wondering if it is worth meshing my letter of interest/intent with an update about a submitted (but not yet accepted) publication.
Seems that the general thought is that a submitted but not accepted paper does not warrant a update but wondering if it is worthwhile to include a submitted paper in a more letter of interest focused update.
I was thinking adding some part about things I’ve been up to would sort of legitimize the letter of interest/intent with some actual achievements. Can’t really wait for it to be accepted because they’ll make their admissions decision on me within the next month.
