Hey,

I am considering going into pain and I would love to hear what kind of setups you guys have? Let’s get a thread of comments describing your practice set up here.

Some things I’d love to hear…

1. Type of practice (private vs HOPD or academic)
2. Volume of patients seen and or RVU
3. Schedule (Mon-thurs?, 7-3?, 8-6?)
4. How many clinic days vs procedure days
5. What specialized procedures you do outside of bread and butter and volume. MILD? Intracept? SI fusion?
6. How much time it took you to get to full volume
7. Compensation structure and typical earnings throughout the years.
8. This one is probably tough to estimate but… Percent total patients you see that have noticeable improvement in pain/function.

At least one percent higher than it takes for me to keep getting out of bed in the morning. So maybe 25%.

Some days everyone is worse and some days almost everyone is better. Just enough to not regret giving up on gas full time.
