Hi, I have very recently become very interested in doing a GPR/AEGD and the deadline for most programs that I would be interested in has quickly come and passed... I am considering waiting for the match to see if I can fill an unmatched/unfilled position in January. Has anyone here been successful in doing this? If so, do you have any tips or guidelines on how to efficiently and effectively go through this process?

Thanks so much for your help.

Have a PASS like application package ready. Have letters of rec ready. When the list of open positions is posted, start faxing/emailing ASAP.

See this is something I don't understand. If you print your PASS app, are you able to print your letters of rec too? Because if you aren't, you'll have to ask your letter writers to email you copies and I'd imagine some would have problems with that, right?

You will need to call the program to see what is required. Most likely they will ask you to send everything in and tell you to ask the letter writers to send the letters to them directly

Correct. LOR authors must be on board to start emailing ASAP as well. Foretold is forewarned. Get them on board early, not MATCH day.
