Hey guys-

Have a quick question regarding those doing the Air Force scholarship at Case Western. I will owe Case half of the first semester's tuition by mid-July which I guess is about 10K. My AF recruiter told me the financial "stuff" doesn't kick in until school starts in August. Do I have to apply for a student loan to pay that in July or does the AF handle that? Thanks alot.

The best person to talk to about that is Barb Scuilli in the financial aid office. She handles all the financial aid stuff for the HPSP students.

I was wondering the same thing. Case just sent me a letter about the tuition due around July 15 for the first semester...I don't know if they will contact the AF for that or we have to pay first...That would be terrible!!!

The Air Force should give you a form that they want you to send to Barbara to have her send back to the Air Force. This form verifies that both you and the school understand that you are a recipient of the Air Force scholarship, and the school should bill the Air Force accordingly. Basically, you won't have to worry about that first payment, as long as you get your paperwork filled out and turned in.
You might need to send Barbara a personal message that you have recieved the scholarship. I had to send her the form about three times before she filled it out and sent it in. Do your best to stay on her good side.
